A few years ago I sketched a ladder on the back of a ticket stub. I'm not really sure why. The image stuck. Perhaps it's the simple shape and the way it breaks up and frames the space. As a symbol, I consider the ladder to be positive. It's a path up, sometimes a way out or a way in. It shows you the direction but the choice to climb is yours.
