I'm a children's author/illustrator and designer/maker. I thrill at the challenge of building worlds, telling stories and finding ways to inspire and engage kids to see their surroundings in a new way.
I've been fortunate to work for Jim Henson Productions, train as a special effects moldmaker, write and perform comedy, and design software, toys, accessories, apparel, and other consumer products for the children's market.
In 2007, I created ScrapKins®, a Recycled Arts program that inspires kids to see the creative potential in everyday junk through hands-on STEAM workshops and interactive building experiences. I've presented Arts Enrichment programs to K-6 students at over 50 schools around the world and designed content and events for Whole Foods, Seventh Generation, The American Museum of Natural History, Skirball Museum, NY Hall of Science, Boston Children’s Museum, Maker Faire, and Scholastic Afterschool.
And once I got to appear on Sesame Street.
